Siklish Trekking

Siklish Trekking

Siklish Trekking  Siklish has been developed by the Annapurna Conservation Project as a model village and is an integral part of their eco trekking project that seeks to spread awareness for both tourists and locals of the need to preserve the delicate environment of the area.Siklish is a large Gurung village north of Pokhara, it is recognised as an extremely well preserved example of typical Gurung life. Although near the better worn trails it remains as yet fairly unexplored with few facilities available for overnight stays. Above the village is Rising Danada there are some fantastic views of the Annapurna Himal to be had. Likely to appeal to people who do not want strenuous trekking but perhaps more interested in culture.
